IRATA ROPE ACCESS LEVEL 2

The IRATA Level 2 rope access course is an intermediate course for candidates who already have an IRATA Level 1 certificate and the requisite work experience. 

It is required that technicians are fully competent in all IRATA Level 1 techniques and using these techniques regularly in their daily work, before an application is made for IRATA Level 2 training and assessment.  It is also recommended that technicians gain an awareness of rope access rigging, rescue and rope access equipment used at IRATA Level 2 – this awareness should be gained through the workplace and/or by reading the IRATA International Code of Practice.

  1. IRATA Level 2 rope access training will enable you to rig working ropes, undertake rescues and perform rope access tasks under the supervision of an IRATA level three.
  2. The courses will also include legislation, safety requirements and quality assurance procedures relating to rope access.
  • Proficiency in all Level 1 techniques.
  • Enhanced rigging techniques.
  • Rescue from Ascenders.
  • Rescues from manoeuvres – aid climb, deviation, rebelay, rope transfer.
  • Hauling and lowering casualties
  • Level 2 theory.
  • Equipment selection, inspection, care and maintenance.

The course is mainly practical with the emphasis being placed on building the candidate’s confidence and competence in the discipline.

  • Candidates who desire International Certifications shall be registered through our platform for such an examination.
